2nd Grade

Hi, My name is Christina McCollom. This will be my forth year teaching at Choteau Elementary, and my 12th year teaching in an elementary classroom. I received my Bachelor degree from Montana State, Go Bobcats, in 1993. I started my career in Bozeman teaching 2nd grade at Hawthorne Elementary.  Then became engaged and married to Brian.  We moved to Choteau in 1995 and I was hired at Bynum Elementary and taught third, fourth, and Kindergarten for 3 years.  At that time we had our first baby, Gavin, and I took a year off to be home with him. My husband Brian decided to change careers and join the optometry field so we moved west to the Portland area for the next 4 years.  While there I taught first grade at a parochial private school.  We then had our daughter Abby and I stayed home to be with her and Gavin.  We moved back to Choteau and we bought the Eye clinic here and in Fairfield.  I was fortunate to join the Choteau Elementary staff in 2006.  I taught third grade for 2 years and I was in 2nd grade last year.  I am very much looking forward to teaching second grade again this year.  Mrs. Elizabeth Jorden is the other 2nd grade teacher.  We work well with each other and plan and do many classroom activites together.  I have an open door policy and welcome you at any time.  Please email or call me anytime with questions or concerns.
