A very successful weekend was had by 36 Choteau High School students participating in the 2008 State Music festival, held May 2-3 in Helena. 26 solos and ensembles participated from CHS, receiving ratings and comments on musical selections they had gotten superior ratings on at the District Music Festival held in April.
The students and Mrs. Depner would like to extend sincerest thanks to: chaperones-Mrs. Sandy Salmond, Mrs. Emily Bouma, Mrs. Crystal Carlson, and Mrs. Vicki Baker; accompanists and teachers-Mrs. Myrna Paulus and Mrs. Jeanette McCormick; bus drivers-Mr. Charlie Durr and Mr. Greg Alzheimer; treat bag makers-Mrs. Sally Heuscher and Mrs. Debbie Stokes; the Choteau Acantha for the wonderful State Music photo page; and all the parents, family members, and friends who attended the festivals and helped out in so many, many ways! We appreciate each and every one of you!
