The Physical Sciences

Physical Science is the study of matter and energy.  We Teach four different physical sciences here at Choteau High School; Intro to Chemistry and Physics, Chemistry, Physics and Electronics. Our Intro to Chemistry and Physics is a required class for all incoming freshman.  The goal of the class is to teach the student the essential understandings of the what, the how and the why of our physical world.  Chemistry is an elective course for sophomores, juniors and seniors.  This is a college prep course which gives the students the necessary background knowledge that is required of them at the college and junior college levels. Our Electronics course is one of only a few that is taught in high school in the state.  It is the science of electronics.  The course teaches DC as well as AC electronics and Semi conductive devices such as transistors and integrated circuits.  This is a Junior and Senior level elective course.  Physics is a Senior elective course that teaches Newtonian Physics as the basis for how things work. The goal for all students is to exit Choteau HIgh School with the needed background knowledge in science to make informed decision about our physical world.
