Dear Readers:
This issue was scheduled to come out on March 14, 2008, but instead it did not make it off the presses until April 4, 2008. We apologize for the long wait. The month of March was very busy with CRT testing and our schedule was too full with other school requirements to meet our planned deadline. As a result this will be our second to last publication for the year.
Despite the busy month, the students did write many good articles to share with you. In the last month we had a very special speaker from New York visit our school and Hanna Heckman’s article explains who Marion Lazan is and what she taught the students while she was here.
We have a few articles that sum up the winter season and recommend ways to enjoy the snow before it is all gone. Musicians, cars, baseball, wrestling and a short story are few more of the topics you will find covered in this issue.
Please send us your comments and feedback by emailing us at therockytimes@yahoo.com or by calling the school. Enjoy Reading!

"To teach writing in the truest sense takes practice, and it means offering students opportunites to write with a purpose for a real audience. Thank-you for being my students' audience. " |
