Standard Job Description Duties
- Prepares nutritional lunches daily for average of 341 students and staff
(approximately 70%).
- Takes care to prepare food for special needs students.
- Completes paperwork required by OPI and meets all deadlines (i.e. menus).
- Generates orders for government commodities and planned for best use of thosecommodities so as to not waste food by end of year.
Above & Beyond Standard Job Responsibilities
- Prepares breakfast for daily average of 110 students.
- Prepares salad bar most days.
- Prepares Homecoming student appreciation day breakfast and lunch (7-9 & staff).
- Prepares approximately $2800 in catering 07-08.
- Cooks meals for summer school.
- Initiated senior breakfast.
- Started “Bring someone you love to breakfast.”
- Cooks dinners for Mass Band.
- Prepares detention lunches.
- Prepares lunches for student council meetings.
- Prepares snack for 7-12 teachers meetings.
- Prepares lunches for career classes.
- Prepares bag lunches for various field trips.
- Initiated participation in the fresh fruit and vegetable commodity program.
General Food Service Information
- The physical work environment limitations include 394 sq/ft of cooking space,
1,250 sq/ft of dining space, 165 sq/ft for serving, and 119 sq/ft of storage area
respectively.
- The regular staff consists of four people who combined work approximately 24
hours per work day.
- The Dairy Council recognized with award for promoting breakfast program and
increasing participation.
- The current prices for lunch are K-6 = $1.50, 7-12 = $1.75, and Adults = $2.00
and for breakfast it is K-12 $1.00 Adults – $1.25.
- At the end of school year approximately 82,000 meals will have been served by
the Choteau food service staff.
