As the first graders dive into their new reading unit on 'Patriotism,' Ms. Snyder invited our Choteau Mayor, Chris Hindoien to come and talk with the first graders about being the mayor and the importance of community. He expressed how lucky we are to live in such a wonderful community. Here is a quote from the story that inspired Ms. Snyder to ask Chris to come in and talk to the first grade. "Leaders in our cities and towns help protect us, too. The mayor is the leader of a town. The town council works with the mayor. They show patriotism by working for the people of their community."
